ESTONIAN MOUNTAINBIKE RACE SERIES
Childrens Ride quide (rules)
1. Registration
- Participation in the Estonian Cup (EC) Children’s Ride is free of charge for all children.
- Registration is required to participate in the children’s rides.
- You can register at the starting place or until Wednesday on the competition week on the website: estoniancup.ee
- Online pre-registration is valid for all subsequent stages.
- For children whose pre-registration is made no later than April 14, 2024, will get named season numbers.
- The starting number of the children’s rides is issued at the starting place and is valid for the whole season.
- In case of loss of the number or forgetting at home, a replacement number or a new number can be purchased from the secretariat, the cost is 5€
- Before the start, be sure to confirm participation in the stage with the secretariat and do so at least 15 minutes before the start of the children’s rides, i.e. 10:45.
- The start times of children’s rides are published on the website in the section on the specific stage.
2. Safety and liability
- Parent or guardian is responsible for a child participating in a children’s ride.
- Wearing a helmet is mandatory!
3. Age groups
- Children’s rides are open to children born in 2014 or later.
- Tiny race: for girls and boys up to 6 years old (born in 2018 or later)
- Children’s race for girls: N8(2016-2017), N10 (2014-2015)
- Children’s race for boys: M8 (2016-2017), M10 (2014-2015)
4. Schedule, results, awarding
- Children’s rides take place between 11:00 and 11:40.
- Tiny ride (TS) start first, and then from older age groups to younger age groups.
- The distances for children rides are determined by the organizer according to local possibilities.
- No time is taken in the Tiny ride (TS) and the rankings are not fixed.
- In children’s races (MW10; MW8), time and rankings are fixed.
- All participants in the Tiny ride will be given souvenirs and it will also be possible to print out a diploma from the series’ website.
- The top three in the W8, M8, W10 and M10 age groups will be awarded a medal or a trophy on the podium.
5. Children’s ride series
- In the W10 and M10 age groups, scoring is held.
- The winner of the series will be determined by adding up the points of the top five (5) stages.
- At each stage, points are distributed as follows:
1st place – 100 points
2nd place – 97 points
3rd place – 95 points
4th place – 94 points, each subsequent place 1 point less
- At the conclusion of the series, the top three in both age groups will be awarded.
- In the race, W8 and M8 age groups, each child receives 1 point for completing the stage.
